Flood situation in Sohbatpur
Almost half of the district has been submerged. These scenes are from the village of Punhal Khan Supper, a neighboring area of Sohbatpur, where the water from the Manjhooti canal has flooded several villages and now has also inundated Goth Punhal Khan Supper. The villagers have lost all their belongings to the floodwaters. Neither the irrigation department staff nor the district administration or representatives of the MPA are present. The people of Sohbatpur have been left at the mercy of the floodwaters. The affected residents, left helpless under the open sky, are waiting for government aid. The victims have appealed to the Deputy Commissioner of Sohbatpur, Colonel Ahmed Khan of FC 53 Wing, and other authorities to provide assistance and make arrangements to drain the floodwaters.
